About Me
My name is Jamie and I am a designer from Austin, Texas. While I've always called Austin "home" - I've lived in London, Chicago, and Savannah, where I received my degree from Savannah College of Art and Design. My style is influenced by my travels (particularly Scandinavia) as well as my roots - I suppose you could call it "South-inavia":) When I have free time on my hands, I can be found frequenting antique malls & estate sales, working on creative projects, being the proud mama to some special canines, grabbing a drink with friends, or eating my body weight in Indian food.

Where Does "Leach Street" Come From?
I named this blog after the street my grandmother lived on from the time I was born until her passing in 2007. I recall many fond memories made at her house - like digging up old glass bottles in the backyard, picking blackberries, eating her freshly baked chocolate sheet cake, going through old photos, and just sitting around her kitchen table discussing life.

We live in such a fast-paced society these days - we're consumed by technology and are always searching for the "next best thing"; I think we oftentimes forget to slow down and smell the roses. It's important to take the time to enjoy the simpler things in life - like a cup of good coffee in the morning whilst reading the newspaper or spending a rainy Sunday morning in bed.
